Promoting a Good Cause

I know that usually hearing about charities it’s either an email scam or a pompous event with celebrities and VIPs. Not this.

Back in the Wizard Universe Message Boards my fellow Wizard Universe columnist, moderator and swell Canadian Sal Loria posted his idea of doing a posting marathon and for every post made, people will donate money to the HERO Initiative. The full details for the event are in the link above and here. As you can see, donating money is not obligated and you can show your support by posting and helping Sal get to the target (if you are not members of WUMB, joining is free and quick. It would make me glad to see people joining because of this blog, so if you do that please let me know).

As for the HERO Initiative (formerly known as A.C.T.O.R.), it’s a voluntary organization founded for the benefit of comics creators in need for a financial aid. You can read more about the organization and its activities in the link above.
